This trail starts in the village of Algodres. The GRVC crosses the village and continues through pastures and forested and wooded areas, passing the Olga Grande archaeological site. This trail starts in the village of Algodres before heading west towards the river Côa, through olive and almond groves and vineyards. The trail skirts around Alto da Resenha and heads north, joining the Côa at Fonte de Espinho, with wonderful views over the valley. The GRVC continues along farm tracks as far as the village of Almendra, passing the church. The trail then continues through and area of olive groves and vineyards as far as the village of Castelo Melhor, and skirts around the right hand side of the castle. The trail ends next to the Côa Valley Archaeological Park reception centre.
