Located in Unhais da Serra in communion with the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, it is a mountain hotel built from scratch that in architectural terms blends in with the landscape, thus allowing an intimate connection with nature. “... the image of a grand mountain hotel with allusions to traditional language in a contemporary concept...” (Architect Jorge Palma, 2004)

It boasts 90 rooms, of which 17 are en-suites or double en-suites, offering breathtaking views over the Alforfa glacial valley in the southwest corner of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park.

The Restaurant offers the treasures and flavours of mountain cuisine, with vegetarian and reduced calorie menus (the latter prepared to the customer’s requirements, after a nutritional assessment performed by the medical team, under the integrated Medical Spa programme).

It also boasts 1,000 m2 of Conference and Meeting Rooms, Banqueting Rooms, a Lounge and Lounge Bar with terrace, a Gourmet Store, a Games Room, a “Media Centre”, a Gym and a spacious Car Park.

The hotel also includes a 100% Wellness Centre called the AQUADOME, which consists of four key areas: AquaTermas, the most modern thermal centre in the country, where respiratory diseases are a particular speciality; AquaFisio, a complete physiotherapy and osteopathy centre; AquaCorpus, for a meeting of the body and the mind, associating the best beauty and oriental therapies, and AquaLudic, the most innovative range of dynamic themed pools with Celtic-style therapies.
